Financial Analyst - French Speaking

About the company:

Fantastic opportunity for a native level French speaker to join a growing team based in central London!

They are an independent hotel owner and operator. That currently own 8 hotels across France and plan to expand into Europe where they expect to triple their size over the next 10 years.

Reporting in to the Group Financial and Legal Controller.

The duties:

-Assists with preparation of the monthly and quarterly group reporting
-Assists with preparation of treasury and cash management
-Reviews/prepares written monthly variances and trend analysis and communicates to management
-Reviews/prepares financial and operational analysis of the monthly financial results. Works with the operational teams to understand the drivers causing the budget versus actual variances and, when necessary, recommends corrective actions
-Makes accounting recommendations as necessary In particular, involvement in the financial management of the UK-based company, in liaison with external accountants
-Preparation of some accounting documents (including travel expenses and management fee invoices)
-Review of journal entries and quarterly reporting
-Budget and cash flow forecast
-Tax declarations
-Supports audit activities as needed or requested
-Assists operational and financial teams in development of plans and forecasts
-Assists with the creation of documentation to ensure consistent application and/or interpretation of process or policies
-Assists with the development of internal control
-Supports the acquisition process to facilitate the integration of financial and accounting data, and detects potential issues in a timely manner
-One-off financial analysis missions
-Ad-hoc headquarters tasks: office management, pension plan, insurances…


Your Profile:
-Fluency in French and English to native level.
-Previous audit, accounting or financial Analysis (ideally 2 years in a Big Four or equivalent)
-Good analytical skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work under pressure
-Organisation and time management skills
-Highly-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills
-Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment and willing to perform any other
-Proficient PC Skills (Word, Excel)
