Purchasing Manager – Print Production for FMCG sector
Permanent position in Frankfurt

The Print Production Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing Marketing Materials that meet the client needs in order to run their Marketing campaigns. This includes the supply chain process for all print production requirements from planning, RFQ, through delivery of components. In addition, the Purchasing Manager will liaise internally and externally with suppliers, while managing the flow of information to ensure timely and efficient delivery to customers.
 
Your new duties and responsibilities:
• Maintain Knowledge and relationships with approved suppliers
• Cost orientated print buying/source buying
• Onboarding of new suppliers
• Requesting quotes from suppliers
• Calculating of costs
• Be in regular contact with suppliers regarding renegotiating
• Processing of print production materials including negotiation, ordering of goods, quotation, creating purchase orders, good received confirmation and invoicing
• Proactively communicate supply chain issues to product teams and coordinate solutions
• Participation and leadership of relationship and business reviews with key partners and supplier
• Work proactively with supplier to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for new and existing marketing materials and concepts
 
Your profile:
• Strong attention to detail and operational workflow dynamics to effectively track and analyse the status within the procurement process
• Experience of sourcing suppliers and vendor management process
• Ability to multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks within a deadline oriented
environment
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Ability to build relationships and work across a multi-product line organization
• Strong analytics and computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and online based print and prepress tools)
• Fundamental knowledge of the whole print production spectrum
• Fluent in German and English
• Commitment to continuous process improvement initiatives and ability to solve problems creatively
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Quality control of print related materials
