Network Infrastructure Manager

One of the truly global providers of content distribution networks, with server farms in over 40 countries is seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to join their vibrant offices in Central London. If you have a working knowledge of BGP network engineering and operations as well as management experience and desire to grow with a worldwide business, look no further!

About the role:

*Supporting BGP and IGP network operations, including device, network, traffic troubleshooting and administration.
*Managing service operations in the EMEA region.
*Working in collaboration with other divisions of the business and regular liaison with counterparts covering other regions.
*Working closely with ISPs and IDCs to build, operate and optimise the network.
*Planning and leading key network implementation and improvement projects.
*Supporting launches of new products and building new POPs.
*Managing a team of 4 engineers that is expected to grow in the near future.

About you:

*Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline.
*Extensive experience in designing and administering a large-scale, highly-distributed service network.
*Hands-on experience of configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting a BGP network with multiple POPs.
*Strong knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, VPN, etc.) and Ethernet troubleshooting tools and methods (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.).
*Layer 3 routing and layer 3 switching expertise.
*Working knowledge of enterprise networking tools (Splunk) and processes in a cloud services environment.
*Strong technical staff management skills.

Bonus points for:

*Networking certification.
*Python automation knowledge.
*CDN expertise.
*Load-balancer/ LTM/ firewall/DNS experience.
